Refer a friend Offer Terms & Conditions
Definitions:
- ‘Customer’: The current Wessex Internet Residential customer who is referring a new customer.
- ‘Credit’: A discount applied to the Customer’s account for each successful Friend that signs up to a Wessex Internet service. The credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded.
- ‘Friend’: A potential Wessex Internet customer who has been referred by a current customer.
- ‘Subscription’: The Wessex Internet Residential subscription that the Customer has been subscribed to for the longest. If the longest subscribed-to package is shared between more than one package, then the lowest valued subscription shall apply for the purposes of this offer.
Terms:
- Customers will receive a one-off Credit applied to their account for each Friend that successfully becomes a customer of Wessex Internet and where the value is dependent on the subscription that their Friend takes out. The Friend will also receive a one-off credit to their account when they become a customer of Wessex Internet.
- You must refer the Friend before they contact Wessex Internet directly to be eligible for the Credit. If we already have your Friend’s details on our system because they enquired in the past, then the credit is not available.
- The credit is applied only if the Friend successfully joins Wessex Internet, signs a contract for service, and has the Wessex Internet connection installed.
- The credit will be applied to the Customer’s account usually within 30 days of their Friend’s new Wessex Internet connection being installed and usually after the Friend’s installation and first month’s bill has been paid in full.
- The credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded.
- If the Customer cancels their Wessex Internet with a credit showing against their balance as a result of this offer, then this credit cannot be refunded and will be removed.
- The offer is only available to current Wessex Internet Residential Customers who bill £25 or more per month.
- There are no upper limits on the number of Friends that Customers can refer and therefore potentially receive credits against.
- If the Friend terminates their contract before the end of the minimum period, or reduces their Subscription value during the minimum term, then we reserve the right to clawback all or part-of the credit given to the Customer. This clawback will be in way that we bill the Customer for the equivalent cash value of the credit if they are still a Wessex Internet Customer or not.
- To be eligible for this offer, Customers need to refer their Friends by filling in the form on our website or by Friends referencing the Customer’s WIxxxxx account number in an online order form. If the Friend subsequently becomes a Wessex Internet customer, this is how we will track it back to the referring Customer. We will check with the new customer/Friend that they were referred by you before we release the credit.
- We cannot accept any verbal based referrals as there is no papertrail.
- If more than one Customer refers the same Friend, then we will apply the credit against the Customer who submitted the Refer a Friend form on our website first.
- This offer is not available for Friends who live in areas where Wessex Internet are deploying additional network assets to improve availability in a region that this Friend would connect to,as often this network build already is heavily discounted already and we can’t offer ‘double discounts’.
- This offer shall run until further notice, but may be withdrawn with 30 days’ notice as indicated on our website.
- All prices listed in these terms include VAT at the prevailing rate.
Wessex Internet have been reliable at cable laying and installation phase. We were switched on with no issues and our family can now work and home school during this pandemic. Gone are the arguments over who gets to use the internet!
The lads that installed our fibre broadband had to drag the cable under miles of muddy fields, under two roads, under two rivers then through a bog in the middle of a wood to get to us. We'd been told by the others (the big company that everybody knows) that it couldn't be done and that we were lucky to get the 0.6meg that we had. Thanks to Wessex Internet we now have 100 plus meg and could have 300meg if we wanted. Everybody involved was friendly, positive and professional. Happy with Wessex Internet? You bet!
I was part of a team of "Community Champions" working with Wessex Internet to get FTTP to the households within our small rural community. From first contact through to installation took about 6 months and now some 30 households have 100mbps connections and I am one of them. FANTASTIC. WI are a pleasure to work with and I am getting exactly what I ordered. 100mbps download and 20mbps upload and when I last measured that speed I also had 4 video streams running on a Zoom call at the same time. What's not to like?

I have been extremely impressed with the whole experience with Wessex internet. The office staff were excellent and the ground team and installation teams were so careful and helpful. It was actually the easiest installation I have experienced and by far the most complex. Highly recommend.

Couldn't be happier! Full fiber was provided at no cost to us (using government vouchers) before schedule and everyone was extremely helpful and we have had no issues at all.
The Internet connection is a distinct improvement on our previous provider, measured by independent websites for upload and download speed and in practice probably saving up to a minute on large downloads for my work. The connection so far has proved more reliable: it used to drop fairly often and annoyingly in online meetings; this has not happened - so far. On the downside, Wessex were very vague about installation timetables and generally communicating and we are still waiting for them to repair something they broke during the installation.
