Morion Broadband merges with Wessex Internet

We are delighted that with effect from 1st April 2018, Morion Broadband will be merged with Wessex Internet Ltd (WI) and the Morion Network will be managed by the Wessex Internet team going forwards.

Morion customers will be able to receive any of Wessex Internet’s Superfast broadband packages (www.wessexinternet.com), that includes both the existing packages available here and our new packages that will be announced in the next week.

WI has nearly finished installing over 25kms of fibre optic cable around Cranborne to upgrade all of the Morion masts to a direct fibre connection. The transition of the Morion network onto the WI core network will happen during March and from the 1st of April your customer contract will be with WI.

Some customers adjacent to the new fibre routes will be offered pure fibre to the premises (FTTP) connections. A fibre connection offers download speeds of up to 10Gb/s, all potential fibre connections will be eligible for a Gigabit Voucher available with support from DCMS
