In the Top 5 fastest UK broadband provider

Wessex Internet have entered the 2016 ISPA awards for Best Superfast and Best Wireless. These categories include a technical testing phase, so Wessex Internet asked all of our customers to carry out a speed test to help us with our entry, and what a result!
The February results (see image below) show Wessex Internet has come in 6th fastest just behind giants Vodafone and Virgin Media, with nationally recognised fibre providers Gigaclear, Hyperoptic and Venus in the top 3. This is a fantastic result for Wessex Internet, with a mean download of 31.1 Mb/s.
What’s more, in Think Broadband’s results for March (see image below), Wessex Internet have climbed one place since February and are in the top 5, leapfrogging the likes of Gigaclear (FTTP) and Vodafone (FTTC), with a mean download speed of 34.5 Mb/s.
Wessex Internet said “This is a significant result because for the second month in a row we are the second fastest non-FTTP provider and with results clearly secured from speed tests undertaken by customers, we are genuinely delivering the kind of speeds residents and businesses need.”
