Salesforce / Web Developer

 

The Company:

Wessex Internet is a dynamic and fast-growing Internet Provider in the South West that is changing the way Full Fibre Broadband is rolled out in rural areas. We believe that the countryside deserves lightning-fast broadband and are passionate in delivering a fantastic service to thousands of customers whose copper line upgrade is deemed uncommercial by the rest of the industry.

 

We design, build and manage our own 1100km FTTP network in-house and are one of the leading suppliers making use of the LFFN Gigabit Voucher program.

 

As we scale, our vision is that fantastic business systems and processes will be the key factor to allowing us to leverage business information and make our operations and teams effective.

 

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce / Web Developer to work alongside the MD and become the driving force in delivering a fully integrated business support ecosystem – with Salesforce at its heart. We are 8 months into our project to implement Salesforce (Sales & Service Cloud and FSL so far) and are nearing the end of the phase 1 integration to our other platforms that manage property coverage/network information and customer billing.

 

Alongside Salesforce we have a custom build mapping engine based on MongoDB with a PHP front end that allows us to map and run calculations on building level information across our network.

 

With the basic structure of the platform in place we now want to grow the bespoke development while integrating it into a new online customer journey to transform how potential customers interact with the business.

 

At the heart of our business we are an infrastructure operator, a civil works business and a digital ISP/MSP rolled into one. Designing a system that sits at the heart of these core operations and drives the company forwards will be challenging and rewarding for the right candidate.

 

Our Salesforce / Web Developer will be responsible for:

 

  • Creating new functionality within the SF platform and other systems
  • Daily administration and support of Salesforce and other systems
  • Work with departments throughout the business to identify and translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Keep up to date with new Salesforce releases and apps, evaluating possible implementation
  • Web application security

 

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:

 

  • Salesforce Lightning (inc. Service Cloud, Sales Cloud and FSL if possible)
  • APEX and API Coding
  • WordPress
  • experience/training in development and testing methodologies such a SCRUM

 

In addition, experience with the following technologies is desirable:

 

  • Javascript, JQuery, JSON
  • MongoDB
  • LAMP
  • FreePBX

Sales Support Advisor

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative telecom company set in rural Dorset.

Wessex Internet has an extensive Fibre & Wireless network. This award-winning rural ISP supports 3000+ customers with 3500+ devices, 150 masts and over 500 km of private fibre. This well-established organisation has grown year on year. We prides ourselves on providing high speed innovative rural ISP services and the highest level of customer service.

 

The Role:

 

Working as part of the Customer Services Team you will provide a high level of Customer Service, processing orders accurately and providing ongoing customer support. Each customer should feel they are our highest priority and trust us to provide them with the right package and quality service. The relationship with the customer extends beyond the initial sale & installation, our customer advisors are there to answer customer queries and to be the first line of support with problems.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Process orders received via telephone, web lead or email, accurately and within specified timelines.
  • Dealing with customers enquiries by phone or email in a polite manner ensuring full accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have efficient and effective communications with customers, line managers and other departments.
  • Ensure that customer commitments and expectations are met, and customers are kept fully informed.
  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the products and services, including the terms and conditions. The company will provide all necessary training in these areas.
  • Adhere to company standards & policies and ICO & Ofcom regulations. The company will provide all necessary training in this regard.

 

Qualifications and Experience (Desirable):

 

  • 2+ years of experience in customer sales and support in telecoms or IT services
  • Demonstrate a level technical knowledge

 

Personal skills:

 

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Personable with accomplished customer facing behaviours
  • Be capable of learning new skills/technical environments
