Am I eligible for a social tariff broadband?
We are pleased to offer a full fibre social tariff for new and existing fibre broadband customers; and a wireless social tariff for our existing wireless broadband customers*.
You may be eligible for our social tariff broadband if you claim one of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit (UC)
- Pension Credit (PC)
- Income-based Employment Support Allowance (I-ESA)
- Income Support (IS)
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (I-JSA)
You need to be named on the monthly statement for the benefit - another member of the household can’t qualify for you.

*Wessex Internet full fibre social tariff is available to new and existing customers claiming eligible benefits. Our wireless broadband social tariff is only available if you already have a Wessex Internet wireless broadband contract. Eligible benefits are: Universal Credit (UC), Pension Credit (PC), Income-based Employment Support Allowance (I-ESA), Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (I-JSA) or Income Support (IS). You will need to provide a copy of a recent monthly statement for the benefit in your own name that matches the name and address on the Wessex Internet account – another member of the household can’t qualify for you. 12 month minimum contract period for new customers, and a renewal of 12 months for existing customers who qualify for the Wessex Internet Social Tariff.
