Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to existing Wessex Internet customers (“Referrers”) and potential new customers (“Referees”) who choose to take part in our Refer a Neighbour scheme or ("Reward Scheme").

You: A Wessex Internet customer or potential new customer who intends to take advantage of our Refer a Neighbour scheme.

We/Us: Wessex Internet.


Conditions for Referrers: If you’re inviting someone to join Wessex Internet

If you are inviting someone to join Wessex Internet, both you and the Referee can receive rewards, provided all the conditions below are met in full.

To qualify as a Referrer, you must:

  • Have been an active Wessex Internet customer for at least 1 month and be up to date with payment of your bills.
  • Be a UK resident and aged 18 or over.
  • Still be a live customer when the Referee’s service goes live.
  • Provide your Wessex Internet account number to the Referee. This account number must match our records, otherwise we will be unable to apply the referral reward.
  • Ensure the referral is stated when the Referee completes this online form https://www.wessexinternet.com/refer-a-neighbour/neighbour-referral/ or on the first call if they are making a telephone order.
  • Referrals cannot be applied retrospectively or through the normal online order process.

You must not:

  • Terminate your Wessex Internet account before the referral reward is issued.
  • Take part in the referral scheme if you are an employee of Wessex Internet.
  • Share the referral with someone in the same household as you.

Conditions for Referees: If you’ve been invited to become a customer of Wessex Internet

To qualify as a Referee, you must:

  • Be a brand-new Wessex Internet customer.
  • Live at a property that has a Wessex Internet full fibre broadband service available for install.
  • Agree to a new full fibre broadband contract and have the service fully installed.
  • Agree to the Referrer being notified once you meet these conditions.

You must not:

  • Already have signed a contract with Wessex Internet for a full fibre broadband service, be an existing customer, or have been a customer within the past 12 months (including under any other name, email or alias).
  • Use a referral from someone who lives in the same household as you.

How the reward works

  • The Referrer will receive an email to confirm the referral reward once the Referee's service is live and their 14-day Cooling Off Period has ended.
  • Rewards correspond to the offer displayed on our website at the time the Referee places their order. Rewards may change over time.
  • Rewards are based on the order date, not the date the referral link was shared.
  • If the Referee cancels within their Cooling Off Period, the reward will be cancelled for both the Referrer and Referee.
  • Referrers can refer an unlimited number of people, but the total reward value will be capped at £1000 per calendar year.
  • No cash alternatives or alternative rewards will be offered.

Available rewards:

  • The current rewards only apply to orders placed between 20 April 2026 and 18 May 2026.
  • Once live, the Referee will receive 3 months of free broadband, applied immediately.
  • We shall use reasonable endeavours to procure that the Referrer’s John Lewis & Partners gift card will be issued within 30 working days after the Referee’s 14-day Cooling Off Period ends.

We can change this at any time.

What else you need to know

  • Referrers are responsible for who they choose to share their referral code, (which is also their Wessex Internet account number) with and any other personal information they choose to provide to Referees.
  • Wessex Internet reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Reward Scheme and/or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect any fraudulent activity, abuse, error or breach of these terms.
  • This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other Wessex Internet promotions.
  • Wessex Internet reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend these terms and conditions at any time, with or without notice. By continuing to take part in the Reward Scheme subsequent to any revision of these Terms and Conditions, Referrers and Referees shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
  • In the event of any dispute regarding the Refer a Neighbour scheme, Wessex Internet’s decision is final.
  • By entering this Reward Scheme you agree to us sending you further communications solely as part of this. This does not affect your general Wessex Internet marketing preferences.
  • The John Lewis & Partners Gift Card may be subject to additional terms and conditions (see www.johnlewis.com/customer-services/shopping-with-us/terms-and-conditions for complete terms and conditions for Gift Cards). Recipients of the John Lewis & Partners Gift Card agree that the cost of and the responsibility for complying with such additional terms and conditions will be borne solely by them.
  • John Lewis & Partners is not a sponsor of this Reward Scheme, and neither they nor we are responsible if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
